Aafer Foundation for Development, Dialogue, Training, and Research
Established in 2016 and registered with the Egyptian Ministry of Social Solidarity under number 10339 in accordance with Law No. 84 of 2002, Aafer Foundation has been operating in the fields of research and intellectual discourse. It also engages in practical, developmental, enlightening, and comprehensive human rights work. The Foundation is dedicated to improving the quality of life for Egyptian citizens in particular, and Africans in general, especially in North Africa and the countries of Sudan, South Sudan, Somalia, and Eritrea.
Aafer aims to support civil society institutions, communities, and individuals working on issues such as renouncing violence, especially violence against women, accepting the other, and non-discrimination. The Foundation also focuses on combating multidimensional poverty and encouraging the adoption of dialogue and peaceful means as a way to resolve disputes.
Aafer considers education and culture as essential levers for balanced and sustainable development. These factors contribute significantly to empowering marginalized social groups, such as women, youth, and the most vulnerable segments of society.
